Gurren Lagann, known in Japan as Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is the story of a fictional future in which human beings have been forced under ground and live in isolated subterranean civilizations called villages. Two unlikey friends join forces to over come the surface menace known as the Gunmen. Simon, a fourteen-year-old digger who was orphaned when his parents were killed in an earthquake finds a "big face" mech or mechanical suit he calls Lagann. The older Kamina takes one for himself, naming it "Gurren". They use their mechs to destroy the invading mecha and effectively break through to the surface. This model kit is molded in 4 colors so painting is not necessary. The kit includes the Gurren (the larger mech) and separately, the Laggan (small big face mech). Polycap joints allow movement in the shoulders, hips and ankles. The Gurren is about 5 inches tall.
